The Impact Writing Workshop Event Administrator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of a workshop focused on crafting and producing impact narratives from health and care research. The role is essential to ensuring smooth event delivery, participant engagement, and successful dissemination of impact stories. Key Responsibilities: Event Coordination and Logistics Promote and advertise the workshop across relevant academic and professional networks. Manage participant registration and maintain attendance records. Organise and coordinate venue logistics, ensuring appropriate space booking at SPARK. Liaise with catering services to arrange refreshments for attendees. Peer Review and Story Production Support Take registry during the event Assist with logistics of venue room set up and lunch Assist the team in facilitating the communication between participants during the workshop. Support the selection and refinement of impact stories for professional illustration and video production. Assist in collating participant feedback and evaluations post-workshop. Dissemination and Communication Assist with the produced impact stories (illustrated and video) sharing on relevant internal and external platforms. Work with the HCARE marketing team to amplify research impact visibility. Essential Skills and Experience: Experience in event administration and coordination. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Experience in marketing and outreach, particularly within an academic or research setting, is desirable. Familiarity with research impact and storytelling methods is an advantage. Person Specification Education: Working towards a degree in a healthcare discipline or equivalent, preferably from the School of Healthcare Sciences Administration & Event Management Proven experience in administration and workshop facilitation Ability to manage registration, logistics, and engagement Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Forms, Eventbrite, or other event management tools. Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Communication & Organisation: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. Desirable Criteria: MSc (or nearing completion); PhD beneficial but not essential. Research & Impact Experience: Experience in co-production, storytelling for impact, or research dissemination. Marketing & Public Engagement: Ability to create promotional content and engage target audiences. Institutional & Research Knowledge: Understanding of research impact frameworks (e.g., REF 2029) and interdisciplinary collaboration.
