Registered Children's Home Manager
* Location: Leiston, Suffolk
* Hours per Week: 40 hours
* Status: Permanent
* Salary: Circa £47,00 per annum plus bonus.
Join our client as a Registered Children's Home Manager where you will manage Children’s Home services and deliver high-quality care to the children resident within the home. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to developing plans and strategies for children’s services both locally and countywide.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Manage Children’s Home services, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards, 2015.
* Deliver high-quality care and demonstrate strong leadership to provide the best outcomes for children.
* Contribute to the development of plans and strategies for children’s services, working corporately with other departments and agencies.
* Ensure the home is Ofsted compliant and adheres to all organisational policies and procedures.
* Provide leadership in childcare practice within the home to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
* Mentor and support the Deputy Manager and Senior Residential Childcare Workers in providing the best possible childcare practices.
* Manage the home effectively to ensure a warm and caring environment is maintained.
* Supervise and support the staff group ensuring that the team is developed appropriately to meet the specific needs of children and young people in the home.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway or equivalent.
* At least two years of experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children and one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
* Sound knowledge and working experience of Children’s Homes guidance & regulations.
* Working knowledge of the Children Act 1989, National Care Standards Act 2004 & Children’s Home Regulations and quality standards, 2015.
* Proven ability to develop, implement, and continually assess individual needs of children and monitor progress accordingly.
