Rowan Park School Rowan Park School is an outstanding Special School, which supports the learning and development of children and young people aged 3 -19 years. The school has three sites; Rowan Park School for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties, Rowan High School for pupils aged 11-19 years with a diagnosis of Autism and The Rowan Tree for Reception and Year 1 pupils’ who have a diagnosis of autism and learning difficulties. The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a young person with Hearing and Visual Impairment needs within the classroom environment and to support them with developing their own communication skills. To meet the needs of this young person, full training will be provided where necessary. The post is funded by the Local Authority and is based within Rowan Park School. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with children and young people with disabilities and are committed to ensuring everyone achieves success in their academic, social and independent skills. The hours are 32.50 per week and are worked as follows: Monday and Wednesday – 8.45 a.m. to 16.30 p.m., Tuesdays – 8.45 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday – 8.45 a.m. to 15.30 p.m. (32.50 hours per week) (45-minute unpaid lunch break).
