Job Description Temporary Planning Role - Immediate Start Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our client's team as a Planning and Scheduling Specialist. Details £14.30 p/h 6 months initially Monday to Friday Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office Collaborative and inclusive work culture Chance to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic industry Responsibilities Ensure all demand from the market is planned in SAP TM as per requirements, with carriers assigned at agreed rates, minimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with agreed business shares and volumes. Engage with tendered hauliers about uncovered shipments, ensuring tender commitments are met and understanding issues where they are not. Identify gaps between transport demand and current market capacity, collaborating with the procurement team to find solutions to maintain service levels at an acceptable cost. Support accurate system setup and master data maintenance to efficiently complete freight settlement activities and pay hauliers on time. Qualifications Supply chain knowledge would be ideal but not essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively based on multiple inputs. Experience in dealing with suppliers and service providers, using data to challenge and resolve performance issues. Proven IT skills and experience using systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
