About the role:
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Computing to join our Computing department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Teaching and Student Support: Prepare, deliver, and assess courses; support and guide students to achieve success.
* Curriculum and Development: Prepare schemes of work, develop new learning materials, and implement quality processes.
* Assessment and Monitoring: Assess students' work, monitor progress, and maintain records.
* Administrative and Promotional Duties: Complete administrative tasks, participate in marketing activities, and contribute to course team meetings.
* Statutory Duties: Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, follow health and safety requirements, and engage in training and development.
About you:
* Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Computing or related subject, GCSEs in English and Maths, willingness to achieve a teaching qualification, and recent teaching experience.
* Teaching and Knowledge: Ability to teach Networking/Network Security and other Computing subjects, knowledge of current developments, and promoting equality and diversity.
* Skills and Performance: High performance in previous roles, excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication.
* Team Contribution and Values: Positive team contribution, work in line with College values, and promote the College's reputation.
* Professional Conduct: Promote safeguarding, maintain professional boundaries, update skills continuously, and awareness of health and safety requirements.
