1:1 Teaching Assistant (ASD & Complex Learning Needs)

£84+ per day (dependent on experience)
Full-time/Part-time, Term Time Only
Are you an empathetic, patient, and driven individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a primary-aged student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex learning needs in a nurturing and structured environment.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised 1:1 support, adapting teaching methods to suit the student’s unique needs.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to implement and refine learning strategies.
* Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support the development of communication, social, and emotional skills.
* Implement positive behavior management techniques to encourage progress.
* Assist with sensory regulation and personal care, where required.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support.
What are we looking for?
* Experience working with children with ASD and complex learning needs (ideally in an educational setting).
* A resilient, compassionate, and patient nature with a proactive attitude.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Familiarity with visual supports, PECs, Makaton, or alternative communication methods (desirable but not essential).
* Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, psychology, or related fields (desirable but not essential).
