Are you passionate about supporting students in managing their behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join a fantastic college in East London on a temporary, ongoing basis.
About the Role: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in providing support for students who face challenges with behaviour, helping them to thrive in their educational journey. You will work closely with teachers, staff, and students to implement tailored strategies, address triggers, and ensure students are fully engaged and supported within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in managing challenging behaviour and emotional responses.
* Implement individualised strategies to address triggers and provide positive behaviour reinforcement.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to create tailored interventions that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
* Monitor student progress, report feedback, and adapt strategies where necessary.
* Work closely with other professionals to support student well-being and achievement.
Requirements:
* Experience working with students in a behaviour-focused role.
* In-depth knowledge of strategies and techniques for managing behaviour, including understanding of triggers and de-escalation methods.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) or challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
