Assistant Town Planner - Exeter
Are you a passionate and driven Assistant Town Planner with around one year of experience? A leading town planning consultancy is seeking a motivated professional to join their dynamic team. The Role:
As an Assistant Town Planner, you will support senior planners in delivering high-quality planning advice and services to a range of clients. You will be involved in preparing planning applications, conducting research, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting with policy analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
Conducting site appraisals, policy research, and impact assessments
Engaging with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
Supporting senior planners on complex projects across various sectors
Keeping up to date with planning legislation and policy changes
About You:
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred)
Around one year of experience in a town planning role (private or public sector)
Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving
Knowledge of UK planning policies and procedures
