Role Summary As a member of the Portfolio Management team at Rokstone, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and financial success. Your primary responsibility will be to take a proactive approach to performance management for all Property led classes of business. By conducting strategic analyses for Rokstone and capacity providers, closely examining portfolio key performance indicators (KPIs) and data, and promptly adapting to external changes, you will contribute to the achievement of financial targets, identify growth opportunities, and optimize profit-share agreements to generate greater revenue for Rokstone. Role Responsibilities Work in partnership with business unit leads to drive the delivery of underwriting strategy specifically for the Property led business units including strategy development, annual reviews, market analysis and projecting underwriting targets over a multiyear period. Work closely with the Finance team in the financial planning and forecasting process for Property led classes, providing insights and recommendations. Quantify and drive the impact of portfolio initiatives alongside business leads, ensuring their alignment with business objectives. Ability to help build a suite of portfolio KPIs working alongside relevant departments to drive successful delivery Perform detailed analyses of under and over performance at a carrier, segment, geographical and overall business unit level, identifying key drivers and proposing necessary actions for improvement. Continuously track and monitor current and projected results, as well as underwriting key performance indicators (KPIs), taking remedial action when needed to achieve plan targets and strategic objectives. Monitor and analyse emerging trends, risks, and market dynamics, providing valuable insights to relevant forums and business units. Lead deep dives into portfolio performance and drive actions to address underperformance or leverage growth opportunities Ensure that the impacts of portfolio changes, such as underwriting actions and risk mix, are effectively communicated and reflected in loss ratio projections and actuarial quarterly modelling. Help drive the deployment of rating tools into the Property led business units by working alongside the business lead, operational team and any external providers. Collaborate with Aventum cross-functional teams including Reserving, Finance and Operations to align objectives and support overall business performance. Contribute to the underwriting operational rhythm by tracking, monitoring, and reporting on business performance, including financial performance against plan and carrier performance KPIs. Work alongside Claims to identify areas to optimise portfolio performance including large loss trends and loss lessons, impact of regulatory changes and general claims initiatives Support business unit leads with analysis for reinsurance profiling and carrier requirements Support the management of existing capacity relationships and new capacity arrangements to help grow the business and overall revenue stream for Rokstone Collaborate with Business Leads to drive improved and consistent underwriting results for our carriers, implementing best practices and sharing knowledge across Rokstone. Role Requirements At least 10 years’ experience managing and/or overseeing underwriting portfolio performance ACII qualification desirable or working towards Degree level or other equivalent qualification preferred Skills & Abilities Results driven.
