The School:
The school is based in Sevenoaks and provides support for children in Year 5-13 who have a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. This includes diagnosis such as Anxiety, Autism, Depression and Trauma. Many of the pupils who attend the school have a designated Education Heath Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of care and support they will have access to.
The school provides a unique and specialist environment that meets the needs and challenges that the students face. The school offers a highly specialised curriculum, which aims to help all students reach their full potential.
The school has many additional therapies to support the children including speech and language, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, play therapy, and holistic massage therapy.
Information on the Unqualified Teacher role:
Unqualified Teachers in this role will be required to have very strong levels of Maths and English. You will be tasked with going off site to educate children on a 1:1 basis; to children's homes, libraries etc. You will be required to drive between locations in a car provided by the school. The ability to quickly form relationships, and manage challenging behaviour with children who are reluctant to learn is crucial for this position.
The position is full-time, and term-time only. It will be incredibly rewarding as you see students develop in confidence with both their learning and social skills. Eventually they will transition into the main school setting.

Summary of the Unqualified Teacher role:
Monday-Friday, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week
Must hold a UK driving license
Strong English and Maths skills
Minimum 21 years old
Strong behaviour management skills
Ability to build relationships quickly
Excellent ability to explain concepts clearly
Minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree
Hold an Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
Salary: £25,630 per annum
