Your role is to provide financial administrative support by ensuring the accurate, timely, and appropriate recording of accounting information and management data. This role involves delivering consistent and reliable financial advice and guidance across the Force, supporting effective financial decision-making and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Support Finance Business Partners and Corporate Accountants in delivering an effective financial management service aligned with TVP’s strategic priorities, driving continuous improvement. Contribute to the production of the Force MTFP, MTCP, and annual budget by providing analysis on BAU budgets, bids, and offering recommendations for budget adjustments. Facilitate financial performance monitoring by extracting, validating, and reconciling data, evaluating predicted expenditures, identifying exceptions, and providing feedback for informed decisions. Prepare monthly financial analyses and costings for internal and external purposes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing expert advice. Manage and maintain financial records in line with audit requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation, accounting standards, and force regulations. Ensure accurate accounting records, timely processing of journals, virements, requisitions, and invoices, while supporting the year-end audit process. Execute tasks in the statutory year-end schedule, submit grant returns on time, and manage income recovery and customer queries efficiently. Deputise for Finance Business Partners/Corporate Accountants in their absence, providing financial data, advice, and attending meetings as required. Key requirements: Fully AAT Qualified. Attained or willing to work towards achieving. Proven practical and technical post qualification experience in a finance environment. Proven ability to produce and accurately manipulate, interpret and analyse highly complex financial data to produce insightful information to assist decision making and performance management across the force. Proven ability as a good communicator who can clearly deliver financial information (verbal and written). High level of computer literacy; especially, MS office applications, Excel and databases. Desirable: Experience of working in a large organisation and knowledge of the public sector would be an advantage.
