What you will be doing: Ensuring a robust New Product Implementation process Controlling design modifications through Engineering Change Notices Working closely with the design function on new projects Consulting with design on the implementation of engineering/design solutions for manufacturing processes Bring the fulcrum for communication between production and design to ensure products are optimised for manufacturing. Facilitating the provision of technical support and troubleshooting for any production issues Developing processes to capture production issues that can be addressed through design/engineering. Advising on techniques and equipment to improve production efficiency. Managing the product test function including liaising with design to ensure test procedures are aligned with production requirements. Overseeing the implementation of Lean and Continuous Improvement processes within the production and test departments. What you will need: Experience in electronics manufacturing Technical knowledge of a variety of processes, including SMT, AOI, etc. Experience of NPI processes A relevant electrical or electronic qualification is desirable (minimum HNC) Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques The company is also open to considering applications from experienced engineers with electronics manufacturing experience who feel ready to take a step up in responsibility. What you will receive: A salary of £45,000-£55,000 (dependent on experience) pension, cash plan healthcare, etc. The working hours Standard working hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8 am-12:30 pm on Friday. However, the company offers some flexibility to start and finish a little earlier or later if it suits the person.
