The Post

Why not consider an opportunity to work as a PA/Administrator within Antimicrobial Resistance & Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of National Services Scotland, working in partnership to deliver ARHAI Scotland priority programmes and services which enable and support a safer and healthier Scotland?
ARHAI Scotland’s overall mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of the population by reducing the burden of infection and antimicrobial resistance within Scottish care settings by means of guidance development, surveillance and monitoring of infections and antimicrobial resistance, operational support and training, covering areas such as incident and outbreak management, decontamination, the built environment, research and infection prevention and control/antimicrobial resistance expertise.
We are currently seeking a PA /Administrator to provide confidential administrative, secretarial and support services of the highest quality across ARHAI Scotland.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic approach and experience in a similar role. Successful candidates must have well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working as you need to be unflappable and resilient when you need to get things done. You must also have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential administrative duties and enquiries on behalf of the wider team.
As secretariat for multiple ARHAI Scotland meetings we need someone who has good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be interacting closely with colleagues across all teams and engaging with key stakeholders from across Scotland.
You should be educated to HNC in Office Administration or related subject, have knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and essentially accurate minute taking skills. Knowledge of the NHS would be advantageous. It is vital that you demonstrate the NSS values of working with respect and care, openness and integrity.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
