Personal Assistant/Support Worker Care Assistant required for a young man with Autism, Severe Anxiety and Complex Needs who lives In Fernhill, Rutherglen. He is very intelligent and uses an App on the iPad to communicate as he is nonverbal.
He is looking for an active, confident, enthusiastic person who is kind and patient to encourage him to go out on day trips to places of interest.
He enjoys walking, listening to music, ten-pin bowling, trampolining, museums, football and learning new things.
You will be required to assist him in the mornings to get up, washed and dressed and also prompt/assist with personal care tasks and self-help tasks throughout the day. You will be required to support him with any everyday tasks to promote independent living skills.
Driver essential (access to own vehicle preferred but not essential).
Recruiting for a permanent position of 16 hours per week
Friday or Monday (to be discussed at interview and scope for flexibility dependent on candidate availability) – 8.00AM – 4:00PM
Saturday and Sunday 08.00PM – 12.00PM
Flexibility preferred as overtime will be available to cover existing team’s annual leave.
Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour
