Purpose of the role As a Senior Applications Support Specialist, you will play a key role in analysing, optimising, and supporting Movianto’s business systems. You’ll investigate existing technology landscapes, plan transitions to new Walden technologies, and provide expert 2nd and 3rd line support. This role requires strong business analysis skills to identify opportunities for improvement, develop business cases, and support project implementation. How you’ll make an impact as a Senior Applications Support Specialist t at Movianto : Investigating existing systems and planning transitions to new Walden technologies. Providing expert 2nd and 3rd line support for applications and infrastructure. Conducting business analysis to optimise opportunities aligned with strategic goals. Building strong knowledge of people, processes, and systems to drive improvements. Developing business cases and performance measures to support decision-making. Supporting the development, testing, and implementation of new functionalities. Ensuring compliance with service delivery processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request). Producing and maintaining operational documentation and project updates. Providing mentorship and training to support team development. Occasional travel to MUK sites, with some European travel required. What you’ll need to thrive as a Senior Applications Support Specialist at Movianto: Degree-level education or equivalent experience. 7 years in an IT customer-facing role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in warehouse and transport system implementations. Knowledge of systems development methodologies and project management techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Strong communication and collaboration skills. A proactive mindset with the ability to influence and inspire teams. Desirable skills: Expertise in Python development. ITIL Foundation 2/3 qualification. PRINCE2 or PMI certification. Management qualification. French language skills.
