A major, high performing hedge fund are looking to hire its first Chief of Staff to their CEO.
As Chief of Staff, the hire will be the trusted advisor / the right-hand to an industry recognised CEO, accountable for executing business strategy and priorities across the fund. He / she will regularly represent the CEO in both internal and external meetings, will be the implementer of key strategic projects & initiatives, be the leader/instigator/implementer of new business launches, be a focal part of investment committee meetings & identify risks within the business / implement change to reduce exposure. This will be one of the most visible and highly autonomous roles within the firm.
For what is a senior level role in the business, candidates should ideally be working for, or have previously worked for a leading management consulting firm and he/she will also have a background in ‘markets’ (more specifically a strong grasp of derivatives trading). We could consider alternative profiles if candidates are incredibly smart and have established front office focused experience working for a hedge fund or top tier investment bank. More generally, candidates must have top tier academic profiles and ideally additional qualifications, such as an MBA.
