The Job
In this role, you will be required to scope, build, install, and maintain digital display (LCD screen based) solutions for business clients. This role may involve visits to client sites, UK wide, to understand in situ requirements for installation, providing advice and feedback to the client on the installation. Construction of the solution will be in line with pre-defined casings, brackets and hardware, however innovativeness and creativity will be required for installs that fall outside of standard items. You will work with our projects team to meet deadlines for delivery and installation. Alongside the build and install you will work with our specialist software to support with the uploading of the digital content, ensuring content changes are actioned accurately and timely. This role is part office workshop based and part client facing so requires a strong mix of craftmanship dexterity, attention to detail and communication skills.
Working as part of a dedicated team with some of the highstreets largest brands, you will see you work in real life scenarios on a daily basis. Full workshop facilities and tools are provided with extensive in-house knowledge support and established vendor resource. Branded workwear and access to a company van is provided.
Main Duties
* Visit customer sites, UK wide, to service/install digital display equipment.
* Liaise with Digital Display office team to ensure systems function correctly.
* Use company ticketing system to track/log/sign-off jobs.
* Prepare Digital Display Equipment in the workshop ready for installation, this includes:
Designing enclosures for screens where required and liaising with supplier.
Designing and in some instances creating bracket/mounting solutions and ordering the necessary parts.
Pre-assembling display solutions to ensure installation goes smoothly.
Using the Digital Display remote monitoring and management system software to upload, test and maintain client content.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
Experience installing equipment in a retail environment.
Basic IT knowledge with understanding of computers, display screens and routers.
Good understanding of Health and Safety practices in a retail/public environment.
Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects working to different timelines
Desirable:
CSCS certification
Knowledge of asbestos awareness – training can be provided
