Our client is looking to hire a motivated and energetic plumbing & heating engineer to support the installation and service teams in a period of significant growth. As part of our installation and service team, the responsibilities will include:
1. Installation of heat pump systems in plant rooms
2. Installation of HDPE pipework and experience in fusion welding.
3. Install all associated pipework that forms part of the heat pump supply, including from manifold to buffer tank and full distribution system
4. Competent in reading Mechanical schematic drawings
5. Day-to-day supervision of the project team
6. Responsible for on-site Heath & Safety in line with the company policy and legislation
7. Responsible for the quality and compliance of the system
8. 1st and 2nd Fix on domestic dwellings and plantrooms
9. Pipefitting of heating/cooling/hot water distribution systems
10. Reactive and proactive maintenance of heating systems
11. Basic electrical work to the various parts of our heat pump systems
12. Commissioning and servicing of the heat pump systems
13. Fault finding and fixing any problems that arise
Key Tasks:
The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, a methodical mind set, and the self-structure required to work autonomously and in a wider team. In anticipation of a significant period of growth, the candidate should be keen to take ownership of tasks and the development of new processes and systems required to take the company through the next stage of growth.
Person Specification:
1. 2-5 years professional experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting
2. NVQ level 2 or 3 Plumbing qualification (or similar)
3. Technical knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems including flow and pressure
4. Understanding of regulations and guidelines relating to hot water systems
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
6. Motivated and enthusiastic team player
7. Detail-oriented and consistent, able to error-check own work and correct mistakes
8. Experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure or construction industry preferred
Package:
1. Basic Salary £40k - £50K (depending on experience)
2. 25 Days Annual Leave plus stats
3. £30 monthly contribution to phone contract
4. Full time position
5. Van provided
6. Project specific bonus scheme
This is a Permanent role. The term 'Senior' only refers to the level of responsibility and the job vacancy is open to all ages.
