We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About your team:
At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it.
We’re the household heroes powering 1 in 3 homes in the UK – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK’s homes greener and more energy efficient, together with our friends at Hive. By using their clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we’re making it cheaper and easier to reduce your home’s carbon footprint. And with our Peak Save programme, we’re actively rewarding better energy use too.
About your role:
British Gas Energy is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with the Business Performance Manager to produce high-quality business performance materials, directly contributing to informed decision-making and adding significant value to operations. The team is dedicated to creating a supportive and fun work environment, with a strong focus on professional growth and achieving net zero goals.
* Impactful Work: Directly influence company success and contribute to net zero goals.
* Professional Growth: Opportunities for training, mentorship, and career progression.
* Supportive Culture: A fun, collaborative environment where colleagues can maximise their potential.
Here's what we’re looking for:
* Key Accountabilities: Translate business strategy into financial impacts, produce finance deliverables, support accurate forecasting, and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
* Reporting and Analysis: Create clear reporting content using PowerPoint and Excel, support weekly KPI production, and perform bespoke analysis for decision-making.
* Qualifications and Skills: Recognised accountancy qualification, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and experience in commercial analysis.
* Work Environment: Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders, motivated by continuous improvement, and experience in large organizations is advantageous.

We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. When it comes to energy, no one does it like us. We make it, store it, move it, sell it and mend it. We’re made up of 12 different businesses, but united by our purpose as Centrica. We’re energisers. Our journey to a greener, fairer future is powered by individuals like you.
We’re powered by purpose

We’re looking for people to add to our culture – not fit in with it. We're building a community where you can be unapologetically you, where differences are celebrated, and where everyone can belong.
