Job Description
Are you an experienced Electrical Service Engineer looking to join a stable and growing company, with a strong background in automation, electrical drive systems, and some mechanical/process experience? Then we have an opportunity for you! This is a field-based role with occasional visits to our workshop in West Bromwich, offering the chance to enhance your earnings with overtime and work on a variety of rotating machinery and industrial equipment.
BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £48,000

LOCATION: Field-based, covering customer sites across the Midlands to the South, East, and West of the UK. Occasional visits to our West Bromwich workshop for training, spares, and tools.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Worcester
Why Apply?: As our Electrical Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in commissioning, maintaining, and repairing a variety of industrial equipment. This is a varied service role that will see you working on pumps, rotating machinery, decanter centrifuges, disc separators, belt presses, and belt/screw conveyors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair of automation and drive systems
* Setting up motor drives and inverters
* Carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns
* Installing and commissioning new equipment at customer sites (industrial, chemical, beverage etc)
* Providing technical support and customer training where necessary
* Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Service Engineer with a strong electrical background. You will have:
* A background in automation with the ability to test and fault-find on electrical drive systems
* Experience working on industrial equipment such as pumps, rotating machinery, centrifuges, separators, and conveyors
* Formal electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition certification
* Hands-on experience working with electrical motors, PLCs, HMIs, and inverters
* Mechanical and process knowledge to support service work
* The ability to work independently, managing your workload and customer interactions effectively
