Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Nuclear & Defence Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth efforts in the nuclear energy and defence sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the regulatory environment, and a proven track record of success in securing contracts and partnerships within the industry.
What you’ll do:
1. Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth in the nuclear and defence sectors.
2. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
3. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and industry partners.
4. Lead the development of proposals, bids, and presentations for new projects and tenders.
5. Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to ensure the alignment of business goals with project capabilities.
6. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the nuclear and defence industries.
7. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and meetings with government officials.
8. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and security protocols.
What you bring:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent within engineering, business, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the nuclear or defence sectors.
3. Strong knowledge of nuclear energy technologies, military systems, and defence contracting.
4. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government and industry.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Experience with regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety standards in the nuclear and defence industries.
7. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
