Activus Recruitment is assisting our client in recruiting a Technician to join their Technical Department at their Dufftown depot. This role involves testing aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and lime materials while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Planning & Co-ordination: To meet quality management standards, plan and organise technicians, equipment, and operations for sampling, testing, and reporting.
2. Testing & Reporting: Perform and supervise sampling and testing activities. Report and analyse results within agreed timelines.
3. Quality Assurance: Conduct audits, calibrate equipment, and maintain compliance with relevant standards and guidance. Raise NCRs and implement corrective actions.
4. Compliance & Documentation: Act independently, ensuring confidentiality and serving as a technical contact for contracts. Submit samples and produce reports promptly.
5. Leadership & Teamwork: Mentor and support Technicians, promote teamwork and represent the company professionally.
6. Meetings & Coverage: Participate in quality and operational meetings and provide coverage for other Technical Services roles when required.
Skills & Experience:
1. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Knowledge of sampling and testing standards for asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
4. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and IT proficiency.
5. Professional communication skills and customer focus.
