Job Description
Summary/objective
Responsible for providing excellent customer service interactions at acac's cafe.
Essential functions

1. Delivers excellent customer experience
2. Prepare food items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, parfaits and snacks
3. Maintain clean and organized work areas and cafe seating areas; perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes to ensure sanitary equipment and facility
4. Brew coffee and tea, and fill beverage containers as needed
5. Safely operate cafe appliances/equipment to include but not limited to: oven, grill, smoothie machine, meat/cheese slicer, microwave
6. Continuously practice safe food handling techniques
7. Solicit, receive, and respond to member feedback regarding the menu offerings; share feedback with supervisor
8. Process POS transactions accurately and in an efficient manner
9. Ensure security of cash drawer, reconcile daily receipts
10. Know and adhere to cafe opening and closing procedures
Requirements
Physical demands
1. Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
2. Ability to reach, pull, push and use repetitive arm, hand, and leg motion
3. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
4. Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required competencies, education, and experience
1. High School Diploma or GED preferred
2. Prior customer service experience highly desired
3. Prior experience handling payments and cash registers
4. ServSafe certification preferred
5. Superior customer service skills
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
7. Ability to safely operate café appliances/equipment outlined above
8. Must be at least 16 years old
