Due to retirement we are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Crisis Home Treatment Team providing specialist support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises ensuring care is delivered in the least restrictive setting. You will be primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service and to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team working with the Service manager and the rest of the team to enhance and steer development of the service. You will have a dedicated office, support from our excellent ACP and a secretary. The post is three days per week however there may be an option to top up to full time. Main duties of the job The Hereford Crisis and Home Treatment Team is a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals providing a 7 day per week 24 Hr service to people aged 17 and over experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. The team provides an alternative to acute hospital treatment by offering intensive community-based interventions and gate keeping all potential hospital admissions. Where a hospital admission does occur, CAHTT can assist in shortening the inpatient stay by facilitating supportive discharge back to the community.
