HEAD OF SERVICE- Temporary assignment
Location: Bristol, Exeter with travel required
Salary: £63,863/year (£33.02/hour)
Length of contract: 4 months
Contracted hours: 40 hours/week with on call duty
The role is a temporary position designed to enhance management capacity during a significant transition project. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will be instrumental in facilitating the transfer of regulated care services.Your responsibilities will be diverse, encompassing project management, operational oversight of care schemes in Devon, Bristol, and Barnsley, besides quality audit duties.
Key duties to carry out:
Project and Service Management
1. Execute assigned tasks within the Project Action Plan framework
2. Provide interim leadership for services when other Heads of Service or Registered Managers are unavailable
3. Conduct quality audits and offer support to enhance regulatory compliance during transitional periods
4. Participate in the Heads of Service on-call rotation
People and Care Management
5. Oversee effective personnel management as needed
6. Ensure high-quality, person-centered care and support plans are developed and implemented
7. Support staff in creating comprehensive risk assessments
Performance and Compliance
8. Drive successful achievement of business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
9. Optimise staff deployment through effective use of rostering systems, aligning with commissioned services, budgets, and individual needs
10. Collaborate with relevant agencies, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Commissioners, when required
11. Uphold the organisation's policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on customer service standards, health and safety protocols, and equality and diversity principle
