The role As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, from providing safety case support on extant installations and those going through decommissioning, to offering design support and safety analysis in safety led, new build installations. Therefore, recent experience working across any or multiple nuclear licensed sites at any stage in their lifecycle is desirable. You will be responsible for leading delivery teams in nuclear safety assessments and shaping solution offerings for clients. You will also be responsible for overseeing and managing projects, identifying and capturing new opportunities, and ensuring that safety critical systems requirements, and safety evidence are in line with our clients' procedures and wider legislation. Minimum Requirements Experience of working in a nuclear safety environment (defence or civil). Aptitude for problem solving and a willingness to take on new opportunities. Ability to effectively influence the technical direction of solutions to our clients’ nuclear safety problems. Experience of working within multi-disciplinary technical teams. Nuclear Safety Case Authoring experience at any stage in a project lifecycle. Experience with / knowledge of the following are highly desirable for this role: Nuclear safety legislation, regulation and policy. Derivation of safety functional requirements, hazard identification, hazard evaluation and fault sequence assessment. Deterministic and or probabilistic safety assessment engineering design substantiation. Governance processes on nuclear licenced sites. Safety case / safety basis development and authoring. Nuclear safety management and its application throughout the plant lifecycle. Probabilistic Safety Assessments.
