Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Exeter
Duration: 12 months
Work Pattern: Hybrid 3 days office & 2 days home
Rate: £500 Inside IR35
People Group are looking for a Project Manager to work for a leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Looking after the leakage detection framework which is £3 million a year.
2. Responsible for 37 leakage technicians and 3 regional engineers, ensuring performance aligns with South West Water's leakage targets.
3. Support the project sponsor in preparing and maintaining definitions of the project requirements.
4. Empower and inspire others to deliver successful projects.
5. Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations, and respond to other issues affecting the project.
6. Engage with and lead stakeholder relationships, considering their levels of influence and particular interests.
7. Establish and maintain governance arrangements for project delivery, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities that align with organizational practice. Manage project reviews throughout the project lifecycle to inform governance decisions by providing evaluations of progress, performance, risk, contingency, and continuing relevance.
8. Manage and update business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs, and risks.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for someone who has:
1. Experience working for a Tier 1 water contractor on leakage detection.
2. A degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in Construction, Programme, Project, or Commercial Management.
