This role provides vital media relations, influencer, and admin support to the account teams, usually working into an experienced account executive or account manager. Perfect for someone with some experience of PR already and really looking to learn and grow in a creative comms environment.
Ultimately, we’re looking for you to be enthusiastic and proactive in:
1. Reading the papers and key websites every day flagging relevant stories and writing short synopsis on articles.
2. Drafting assets including press releases, influencer briefs, website copy, and more, and to ensure it's as client-ready as possible for the senior team to review.
3. Keeping up to date on what’s happening across your client accounts, their products, industry, trends, and relevant media/influencers – really getting to understand their business.
4. A key part of your role will be speaking to media, selling in stories we’re working on, placing products on their pages/website for reviews – and above all, having a real hunger for getting coverage.
5. Taking responsibility to track and report on all coverage and social posts, including working out formulas and using Excel.
6. Likewise, you’ll be responsible for drafting agendas, monthly reports, and other forms of account admin to help keep the work on track and the client updated.
7. Overseeing the design, print or production of media or social materials.
8. And there will probably be varied tasks like sourcing props for photoshoots or competition prizes, or identifying influencers with two left feet or holding someone’s dog at an event (!).
9. Being able to manage and motivate yourself to produce high-quality work and meet deadlines, and be proactive in suggesting ways to continually improve ways of working.
10. Providing seamless support to Account Executives / Account Managers where needed. In general, being as helpful as possible in moving the work forward and securing coverage.
