Who are TaxAssist Accountants?

We specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to our clients - Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers.
The Role
This is an in-house (not remote) permanent, full-time position. This is not an accounting role – we want this role to be more of an operations manager / marketing role. Basic accounting and tax queries from clients will need to be responded to as part of the role, however, most will be simple and are asked multiple times. Therefore, training will be provided to assist with these generic queries.
The rest of the role will fall into the following categories:
* Assist with the Operational Management of the business
Work would include:
* Reviewing the production management to ensure our workflow is progressing in an efficient and profitable manner
* Managing quality control of production work
* Reviewing and managing the revenue streams and revenue controls
* Reviewing and managing the cost base of the business
* Reviewing the client on-boarding processes to ensure clients are receiving a great experience
* Managing the client emails inbox, responding and actioning as much as possible - *** This will likely be 30-50% of your time
* Managing the time of the Partner to maximise the revenue generated from his time
* Assisting the production workflow to get accounting and tax work to the final stage
* Producing monthly management reports to discuss KPIs
* Assisting with the Income Tax production process during peak times of the year
* Various other operational activities
* Marketing
Assist with the creation and implementation of the marketing plan to drive the business forward. The purpose of the marketing plan is to create leads for new business.
Work would include:
* Assisting with the building of the annual marketing plan and monitoring its success
* Assisting with building the personal brand of the Partner
* Creation of Articles / Videos for website / LinkedIn / Other
* Generating leads via referrals from our current clients
* Attaining reviews from current clients to improve the SEO of the company website
* Introducing our business to other local businesses to build the brand in the local area
* Creating events to invite local businesses to attend
* Following up on recent sales meetings
* Contacting previous clients
* Building and managing a targeted dataset of potential clients
* Generating leads for the Partner via our lead generation partners
* Networking
* Various other marketing activities
You would not be expected to be undertaking sales meetings initially, however, this is something that we could potentially build the right candidate up to once they learn more about our business.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
* University degree minimum 2:2 with a business focus – ideally Management / Marketing / Accounting focus
* Excellent communication skills: confident and friendly personality
* The ability to take ownership of your work and see things through to completion
* Good with Excel
* A real passion to build business
