About the job Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer
A Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer is required by my Client in Leicester; a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy. As a company, they provide complete design consulting services to a multitude of Clients across the building design sector. This role will offer you an excellent platform to build and develop your knowledge of buildings and design in a very friendly and supportive work environment.
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will commence your career by getting to know the projects and understanding the technical production of structural drawings and details, using both AutoCAD and Revit. This will provide you with a thorough understanding of the projects and the use of different construction materials/methods from which you can build your design engineering knowledge. As you progress, your role will develop, and you will be involved in full design duties.
The ideal candidate needs to possess the following skills:
* Be Degree Qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Be skilled in using AutoCAD and ideally Revit Structures, although this is not essential.
* Possess a long-term passion to progress in a role as a Structural Design Engineer and a clear passion for building design.
* Be willing and able to professionally communicate (verbally and written) with clients, other consultants, and contractors.
* Ideally have experience or an understanding of structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry, and foundations.
The salary for this role is fairly varied (£25,000+); however, this is to accommodate all levels of expertise, including graduates who have already gained some post-graduate experience in structural design. Therefore, graduates of all levels of experience and abilities in structural design are encouraged to apply if the above criteria are met.
