A large firm with offices in Newcastle city centre is looking to appoint a Personal Tax Senior to their Private Wealth service line where you will be part of the tax, trusts and accounting team.
With a great deal of autonomy, you will assume responsibility for a portfolio of clients, preparing personal and trustees’ tax returns.
The role:
* Preparation of tax returns for review and undertaking peer reviews
* Working with a portfolio that includes company directors, trusts and estates, and high net worth individuals with some international exposure
* Dealing with the day-to-day tax affairs for your client portfolio and those more junior in the team
* Ensuring engagement letters are in place for all clients
* Ensuring fees are agreed and billed accordingly
* Assisting other members of your tax team in the overall management of client affairs
* Liaison with HMRC
* Attending client meetings where appropriate
Your experience:
* We are hoping to find an individual who has a minimum of two years experience completing UK tax returns
* It would be desirable, yet not essential, if the successful candidate had some experience of trusts and Inheritance tax
* ATT part or fully qualified would be advantageous
* Experience gained from an accounting practice
* Confident working with tax systems as well as Microsoft Excel
* Good communication skills both oral and written
Working arrangements:
The opportunity is open on both full and part-time hours, with flexibility to consider different working patterns within the core day Monday to Friday with variable start and finish times.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis where you can divide your time between home and the office.
