Job overview
Are you a highly motivated Perfusionist who has the desire to advance the department particularly in the areas of new techniques, research, and teaching? Our Perfusion Department at the Essex CTC has a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive team.
It's an exciting time for our team as we have just introduced the Quantum Heart Lung Machines along with the associated Informatic package. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of our multi-disciplinary team providing an effective highly specialist perfusion service to our patients, whilst working towards the latest innovative, evidence-based clinical techniques.
You should have a substantial post qualification experience, 5 years minimum for the 8b Senior post and 2 years minimum for the 8a post, and must also hold UK registration - due to the current skill mix in the department we will not be short listing perfusionists who have under two years post-qualification experience. Please detail clearly in your application which post (8a or 8b) you are applying for.
Main duties of the job
As our Clinical Perfusionist you will be responsible for setting and maintaining our 24 hour perfusion service provision and will need to participate fully in the development of the team and service, recognising that the team will contain those that have professional managerial responsibilities, novice practitioners and student perfusionists.
Fundamentally you will work with the Head of Clinical Perfusion to ensure that the perfusion resource is sufficient for those perfusionists with professional managerial responsibilities to meet the clinical group's contractual and professional targets.
You will be required to fully participate in a on call service.
