Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health issues, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care and anatomy, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualised care plans. Administer medications and monitor patient responses, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments. Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement treatment strategies and evaluate patient progress. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health nursing. Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety. Requirements Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. PMVA Certified Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices, particularly in mental health settings. Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to mental health conditions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients. Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in patient care. Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy towards patients' experiences. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the service needs.
