The Role of a Sales Manager As a Sales Manager at our CDC location, you'll play a key role in driving daily sales by sharpening your leadership skills and employing innovative, motivational sales strategies. Your role will involve supporting both new and existing customers, providing expert advice on our products to ensure they have the perfect tools for the job. You'll use your sales acumen to build strong relationships, upsell effectively, and inspire ongoing customer loyalty. What do you need to succeed as a Sales Manager? Previous experience in construction products or equipment, with a proven track record in a managerial or supervisory role within a similar or related industry. A proactive attitude, representing HSS on-site and remaining focused on achieving store targets. You ll have a demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed performance goals, prioritise tasks, and deliver results with a solution-focused approach. A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with product knowledge and market trends. A sales-driven mindset, always looking for opportunities to go above and beyond for customers, engaging with them in and around the store to boost sales and ensuring a seamless experience for every customer. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. What does the Sales Manager role involve? Lead the branch sales team by setting a strong example, implementing effective sales campaigns and strategies to drive performance and consistently exceed targets. Foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, ensuring smooth cooperation among colleagues within your branch. Regularly assess team performance, identifying areas for development and taking proactive steps to support growth. Stay attuned to current trends and customer preferences, ensuring products are marketed in a way that resonates with customers. Aim to not only meet but surpass weekly and monthly sales targets. Keep a close eye on sales figures and key marketing metrics to track performance. Analyse business trends, such as monthly sales rates, to identify opportunities for growth. Stay informed about competitors and market developments to maintain a competitive edge. Provide outstanding support to both new and returning customers, ensuring a high level of service at every interaction.
