A vacancy for an efficient medical secretary has arisen at Acle Medical Partnership in Norwich, to maintain and deliver care and support to our patients. This position is offered on a part-time basis, working pattern and hours are negotiable. Key responsibilities include; Dealing with clinical correspondence on behalf of our clinical team using a variety of software packages. Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and ensuring referrals are processed efficiently and timely. Providing a broad spectrum of secretarial support to the GPs, practice manager and health professionals. Updating documents on word, excel, outlook and using MS teams. Dealing with all correspondence on behalf of practitioners for both NHS and private work. Managing all urgent work requests as a priority. Processing referrals via the NHS electronic referral service or by email and maintaining logs of all referrals. About the Candidate We would welcome applications from those with the following skills and experience: Essential: Good typing skills. Excellent communication skills. Able to prioritise workload. Experience of working the the general public. Desirable: Strong IT skills. Ability to work as a team member. Understanding and knowledge of medical terminology. Experience of working in a GP setting. About Us We are a forward thinking rural General Practice who dispense to around 6,500 patients. Our team is led by 4 Partners who work with 2 salaried GPS, 1 Retainer GP, Advanced Paramedic, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Associate, Nursing Team and HCAs. We have an excellent non-clinical admin and reception team. We have a branch surgery in the pretty village of Reedham. We are a teaching practice with year 2 students. Our clinical system is Emis. Acle Medical Partnership is a GMS practice with a good CQC rating. We are a friendly Practice and offer high levels of support.
