What we can offer you; 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays Refer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000 Access to our company pension scheme Free physiotherapy service Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing; Assist Site Manager to operate the Landfill site, Compost, Wood operations and the Road Sweeping plant in a safe and efficient manner Ensure the site meets the requirements of the PPC/Waste Management Licence, Health & Safety at Work Act and other statutory controls, company policies and procedures Liaise with company surveyor to ensure correct setting out of pre-settlement contours Assist with weighbridge queries as they arise & liaise with internal departments to resolve problems Investigate and follow up and complaints received on site and inform the relevant customer/authority of the outcome Investigate all incidents and accidents Ensure weighbridge operations are operated in line with company procedures and that customer requirements such as turnaround times are met Assist with accurate recording of spend against budget and receipt of capital and purchase orders. Regularly check with site operations to confirm if service delivered / goods received and taking appropriate action What we're looking for; Experience of yellow plant and equipment and an understanding of other associated plant and vehicles that may be used on site would be an advantage A good understanding of financial requirements including budgets and P&L’s Proven ability to supervise/manage a team Full UK driving licence is essential for this position What's next?
