Job Title: Care Support Worker - Community
Trust: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Torbay Hospital, Totnes community hospital, Brixham community hospital, Newton Abbot community hospital, Teignmouth community hospital, Dawlish community hospital.
Pay Rates: £11.45 - £20.95 (Band 2), £12.45 - £21.03 (Band 3) based on experience
Shift Patterns: Flexible
About the Trust:
We provide health and social care services to our people in their own homes or in their local community. We also run Torbay Hospital (providing acute hospital services) as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham.
We support around 500,000 face-to-face contacts with patients in their homes and communities each year and see over 78,000 people in our A&E department annually. We serve a resident population of approximately 286,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season.

What you can add:
* Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight
* Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
* Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and well-being
* Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected
The role will involve, but not be limited to performing the above.
What you'll need:
* Minimum of 6 months Community HCSW UK (Private, NHS or Armed Forces) hospital/hospice experience within the last 2 years
OR
* Currently studying General/Adult Nursing (Student Nurse) and completed a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placements.
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
