An opportunity has arisen within a global Entertainment powerhouse for a qualified Financial Accountant. This globally renowned organisation is one of the largest producers and distributors of content and has won multiple awards for the fantastic shows it has brought to screens around the world.
The UK company has multiple production labels, alongside a highly successful distribution arm. They are a leader in the UK & international market and are known for delivering high quality, multi-genre content.
This position will sit within the Financial Reporting team for the UK and will be part of the team responsible for the delivery of external and statutory reporting requirements, alongside assisting with an internal project.
The role will suit a qualified Chartered Accountant, ideally with a practice background and a minimum of 3 years audit and/or financial accounting experience who is looking for an interesting and varied role within a large, dynamic entertainment organisation. You will need to have a natural confidence, and great communication/interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with a number of stakeholders (both internal & external), including direct liaison with the CFO.

This role is a 12-month contract and a hybrid working model, with the expectation for you to be in the Central London office 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements for multiple entities, including SPVs
* Assist with preparing consolidated group accounts
* Assist with preparing for and managing the annual audits and liaise with the external accountants, group and UK finance teams for all related queries
* Assist with the implementation and monitoring of group financial accounting policies and controls; ensuring changes to accounting standards are implemented appropriately
* Key point of contact for UK finance teams in relation to technical and financial reporting queries
* Input into commercial impact assessments on technical accounting change
* Assist with the tax submissions and reports
* Prepare and submit returns to relevant industry bodies as required
* Assist with intercompany cleardown and other internal financial projects
Candidate Specifications:
* Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong technical accounting skills including sound working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS101 & FRS102) and IFRS; an audit background would be a distinct advantage
* Experience of working with large working entities and consolidation accounting
* Previous experience working with TV Production/Distribution or similar media/entertainment companies would be a distinct advantage
* Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact, engage and influence a wide range of individuals
* Ability to prioritise, highly organised and strong attention to detail
* Self-motivated, driven and always striving for improvement
* Proven experience of delivering to statutory deadlines
* Good working knowledge of UK tax principles
* Great team player.
