We are currently seeking experienced Train Managers to support with our Rail Services work in the North on a full time basis. The bulk of the work consists of testing and commissioning of new rolling stock for passenger operators. You would work an average 4 day week (34.5 hours) across the year, based on customer requirements across a varied shift pattern. As a Train Manager with GB Railfreight you would be critical in delivering a best in class service to our customers at all times. In line with our company core values, you would be empowered to take charge of the delivery of the key activities and trusted to undertake your job to the highest safety standards. You would work with a number of people in the business, including Rail Operators, Signallers and Contractors to ensure customer requirements are met and trains arrive on time. The Rail Services division is directly overseen by a Production Manager who would be on hand to offer advice and support when needed as well as work with you on your training requirements and professional progression plans. Train driving, mainly passenger trains but also freight, as required Providing excellent customer service to customers Ensuring right time delivery on all services Responsible for the safety of yourself and others You must a valid ETDL, and a great safety record. Valid UK manual Driving Licence You will be able to use IT packages such as Word, Outlook and be confident in using iPads (which you will be issued). Be comfortable with shift work, and lodging away.
