The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR to lead and develop the HR function for our growing wealth management firm. This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping and implementing an effective HR strategy that aligns with business objectives, enhances company culture, and ensures compliance with employment laws and best practices.
As the Head of HR, you will play a vital role in fostering a high-performance work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring the organisation attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Compliance: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring compliance with employment laws and industry regulations.
2. Employee Relations & Performance Management: Oversee complex HR issues, manage disciplinary matters, and develop a structured performance management system to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
3. Talent Acquisition & Succession Planning: Lead recruitment, retention, and succession planning strategies to attract and retain top talent within the wealth management sector.
4. Culture & Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to improve company culture, morale, and employee engagement, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
5. Compensation & Benefits: Develop and manage the company's remuneration policies, benefits packages, and grading structures, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
6. Leadership Development & Coaching: Provide coaching and support to the senior management team to enhance leadership effectiveness, team collaboration, and overall company performance.
7. Training & Development: Design and implement a learning and development program to support career growth and skill enhancement for all employees.
Key Skills & Experience
1. Proven HR leadership experience, ideally within financial services or wealth management.
2. Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
3. Excellent employee relations skills, with experience handling complex HR issues and disciplinary matters.
4. Experience in talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
5. Ability to develop and implement performance management frameworks.
6. Passion for workplace culture, engagement, and employee well-being.
7. Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills at senior management level.
8. Experience in designing and managing compensation, benefits, and reward structures.
9. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
