Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Generalist Lecturer at HMP Exeter. This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Day to Day Duties of the Role:
* Organisational and administrative work.
* Preparation, assessment and marking.
* Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
* Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress.
HMP Exeter is a Category B local and resettlement men's prison which is dedicated to fostering a safe and educational environment that empowers men to acquire new skills for a successful transition upon release. Minimum Requirements:
* A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
* All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
* Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
* Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills.
