Senior HR Business Partner – Operations Reference:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner within our Corporate HR Operations Team.
The HR Operations Team is a dedicated and hardworking team, highly competent and solution focused, working in a fast-paced environment with a dedication to grow and evolve to ensure that the Service provided is always to the highest standard. You will be required, in this role, to communicate with a wide range of people, including trade union personnel, Senior Local Authority managers, and Sefton personnel.
The HR Operations Team supports several service areas across the council, including our Operational In-House Services, Adult Social Care & Health, Communities, and Highways & Public Protection.
We are therefore seeking a qualified, professional, and highly competent Senior HR Business Partner to strengthen the foundations that have already been built.
Working in either team, you will be required to be both highly responsive and proactive in providing an effective and efficient, high-quality HR Business Support service across all service areas in the LA.
The successful applicant will be an experienced HR Practitioner who is CIPD Qualified to level 7 or equivalent, is an effective team player, and able to gain support from others. With the ability to communicate and listen effectively with a wide range of people and to make informed, reasonable decisions regarding a range of employment matters, you will have fine-tuned organisational skills that enable you to manage workload by prioritising and ensuring that all deadlines are met.
Your knowledge and understanding of Employment legislation and local Government Pay and Conditions of Service must be well maintained and current. Experience of Trade Union negotiation and industrial relations conflict resolution is a must-have, along with understanding the complexities of working in large diverse organisations.
Excellent I.T. skills, (Microsoft applications) including integrated HR applications are a must-have, along with the ability to manage and prioritise workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
The successful applicant will work agile across the Sefton Borough, from home and office (based in Bootle), attending office locations as and when required to meet work demands. You will be provided with the required equipment to enable agile working.
