As a Systems Engineer at NTC, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that support our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of hardware and software systems, while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and an analytical mindset, with the ability to handle both day-to-day tasks and long-term system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy system architectures and configurations to meet organisational needs.
• Collaborate with software developers, IT specialists, and other engineers to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging, ensuring optimal system functionality and minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support for system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Maintain and improve existing systems and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and stability.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Assist with system upgrades, patching, and security compliance.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve system design and performance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, System Administrator, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.), networking protocols, and virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and on-premises infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java etc.) and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or AWS are a plus.
