We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Exams Officer to join our team and help us ensure the smooth administration and organisation of public examinations.This is an exciting moment to join our journey, as our school was recently judged as Good by Ofsted. We seek someone with the dedication, vision, and drive to support our examination administration and provide the school with expertise and development opportunities in exam management.Key Responsibilities: Responsibility for examination entries for external exams to the examination boards for public exams (e.g., GCSE). Liaise with heads of department on pupil entries. Disseminate information about public exams to staff, pupils, and parents. Oversee the daily running of public examinations, including practicals. Liaise closely with the Data Manager and Deputy Head to create the invigilation timetable and provide information about the examination timetable. Brief pupils on examination procedures and conduct, and produce guidelines for staff and pupils. Complete examination entries using IT and ensure manual backup as appropriate. Be present on the day the centre is notified of results or arrange for a suitable, well-briefed substitute. Make arrangements for internal examinations, including timetable, rooming, and invigilation. Arrange for all staff to undertake relevant invigilation training annually. Essential Criteria: Previous experience of administrative work. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent. Experience of working with large databases, budget monitoring, and purchase ordering through Voyager or similar system. Experience of working with a school MIS (e.g., Bromcom). Good standard of communication skills, especially telephone and reception skills. Good standard of literacy and numeracy. Ability to work under own initiative. Motivation to work with children and young people. Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships with children and young people.
