We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate ECT MFL Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Braintree. This full-time, permanent role provides an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to develop their teaching skills within a supportive and high-achieving language department.
As an ECT MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging and interactive lessons in French, Spanish, or German, inspiring students to develop their language skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in communication. You will receive structured mentoring and professional development, ensuring a strong foundation for your teaching career.
This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher looking to establish themselves in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) education, with access to comprehensive induction support and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons, aligned with the national curriculum.
* Teach French, Spanish, or German, fostering a love for languages and cultural diversity.
* Inspire students to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
* Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level MFL examinations.
* Use creative teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised support.
* Promote positive behaviour management strategies to encourage student engagement.
* Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all students.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT status.
* A strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level standards.
* Experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
* A passion for language learning and cultural awareness.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
