Job summary Glan Clwyd Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for North Wales and has a wide range of unscheduled and scheduled clinical services ranging from general medicine and surgery to being the tertiary hub for Critical Care, Vascular, Head and Neck, Cardiovascular, Cancer, Paediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care. Main duties of the job The Director of Nursing and Theatre Manager are seeking to appoint a forward thinking and dynamic Theatre Matron that has senior leadership experience within an acute hospital environment. The successful candidate will provide inspirational leadership and direction to the senior theatre team leaders, in order to develop and enhance excellent standards of patient care. The role's focus will be on service improvement, ensuring high standards of quality and safety and provision of visible leadership to the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will work closely with the Theatre Manager, Head of Nursing, Clinical Director and General Manager to ensure strategic objectives of the directorate and health board are met.
