Sales Ledger Clerk

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting a leading business based in the Pontefract area as they look to bring a Sales Ledger Clerk on board on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be working within a team of 6, reporting into the Sales Ledger Manager, to provide extensive support across the invoicing process. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' worth of experience working within a similar role, dealing with high volume invoicing and complex queries.
Key duties include:
1. Raising sales invoices for all departments in line with KPIs
2. Reporting on outstanding invoicing issues
3. Checking invoices for accuracy, ensuring coding is correct
4. Providing cover and support across finance admin tasks as requested
5. Ensuring all invoices are sent on time
6. Providing back up/copy invoices where required
7. Answering incoming calls and managing post
Person specification:
8. At least 1 year working within a similar sales ledger/finance admin role
9. Educated to GCSE level incl. Maths & English
10. Strong communication skills
11. Ability to work well under pressure to strict deadlines
12. Experience working with MS Office packages incl. Excel
