This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates. What will your responsibilities be? We are looking for a Lead Practitioner Psychologist with strong CBT and motivational interviewing practice, who not only possess expertise in their work within drug and alcohol services but have a passion for developing skills and supporting and supervising others in the delivery of psychologically informed work. You will be a compassionate and empathetic individual, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support. You will receive regular clinical supervision and professional support from a more senior Practitioner Psychologist in substance use and will be in a supportive environment, where you will be encouraged to develop your clinical skills as well as providing an opportunity to develop leadership skills, making a difference beyond your own individual practice. Post graduate Doctoral level training (BPS accredited) in clinical or counselling psychology, or equivalent, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology. Completed training course in clinical supervision Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC. Demonstrable experience of having worked as a practitioner psychologist (e.g. clinical, or counselling) under the supervision of a more senior member of the profession for a minimum of 2 years. Demonstrable experience of providing psychological treatments for trauma e.g. EMDR, trauma focused CBT Experience of supervising the practice of psychology staff ie practitioner and /or assistant and/or trainee psychologists Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological assessments and interventions.
