An opportunity exists for an Education Welfare and Attendance Officer to join our pastoral team at Trinity Academy Halifax to:
* reduce student absence across the academy by leading the delivery of attendance strategies.
* engage with families to support them to engage with the academy and to recognise the importance of attendance and fulfill their legal responsibilities.
* facilitate effective partnerships between parents, families and the academy and its partners.
Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
* Experience of successfully working with young people (of a relevant age)
* Experience of working in an educational environment
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues
* Experience of working in a busy organisation and dealing with confidential matters
