Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 71 year old lady living with my husband in the area of Tonypandy. My husband and family, provides excellent support to me day and night I am very family orientated and have 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. I have a very supportive family circle who provides support as much as they can. I am a very thoughtful and caring person who likes to make sure everyone is okay.
I like to be out every day and enjoy going for coffee and cake. I also enjoy crosswords but mainly I like being out of the house and socialising with friends. I have a diagnosis of mixed Dementia and Alzheimers which means sometimes I have symptoms of memory loss, forgetfulness and difficulty recalling recent or past events, confusion, I may become disoriented or easily confused, even in familiar settings.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The purpose of the job is to support me to go out and socialise giving my husband some respite from his caring role.
PLACE OF WORK
In and around the area of Tonypandy
HOURS OF WORK
10 hours per week
Saturday 12:00pm-18:00pm
Weekday 4 hours per week either a Monday or Wednesday afternoon.
RATE OF PAY-
£14.70 per hour including mileage where appropriate
TASKS INVOLVED
Going to lakeside in Clydach
Going for coffee and cake
Going to Talbot Green shopping centre
Going to Marks and Spencers
Driving me in your car
Going out walking
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
